Digitally healthy with the new Medienplanet app for primary school children. The free app can be used flexibly and across subjects at school or at home without any prior knowledge.
Versatile creative tools, embedded in a child-friendly narrative, ensure exciting discoveries for children and adults. In doing so, they playfully encourage critical questioning of media usage behavior and eating habits.

On their journey through space, the funny, media-loving Dorkies come across the strange human species. In order to find out more about them, the aliens beamed the well-known children's television star André Gatzke onto their spaceship and the adventure begins.

Video kit:
Produce your own television show together with André Gatzke and the Dorkies. Together you will create your own clips on many exciting topics that you can design yourself. With spectacular introductions, cool questions and funny clips, making films is child's play!

Media diary:
Do you know how much time you spend watching TV and using your smartphone? Record in your digital diary which media you work with and discover the surprising results in the exciting planetary evaluation.

Food diary:
Do you want to take a close look at what you eat every day? Document your meals in your digital diary and take a photo of your treats. You can then gain exciting insights into your eating habits in the planetary system of evaluation.

Podcast studio:
Would you like to talk about an exciting topic? Then you can record audios alone or with others and edit them easily. You can also mix suitable music and create a cool cover photo with backgrounds and stickers. Your first podcast is ready!

AR poster:
Bring the media poster to life with augmented reality. Together with the Dorkies you can discover cool quizzes, videos and exercises. Do you have common media rules? Then collect them on your poster.

Project code:
With a project code you can become a member of a project. You can upload the videos, podcasts and diary entries you have created to a class portal and you can view the results together in class.

For each new stage you will receive exciting Dorkie clips that document your progress. You don't need to register to use the app: you can start straight away!

Dorkie adventures at school

Media plays a major role in children's everyday lives. The offer sets new standards in the contemporary promotion of media literacy and is particularly suitable for use in primary schools. In the Medienplanet app, children learn not only to consume media, but also to create it and to critically question their own behavior.
The app is available on the class portal “MedienUniversum. Media education in primary schools”. There, educational professionals will find many clever teaching ideas on the topics of media, stress and relaxation, nutrition, advertising, computer games and media heroes.
