The new City of Sonthofen app bundles many useful functions for citizens. It provides current news from the town hall and clubs as well as local developments. Push notifications send important messages or emergency information directly to your smartphone. This means users can react quickly, for example in the event of a fire or a dangerous situation.
An event calendar provides a clear overview of all relevant events – from traditional festivals to cultural events. Thanks to the filter function, users can quickly find suitable offers, be it on their doorstep or in one of the five communities in the Alpsee-Grünten region.

The app also makes dealings with authorities easier: forms and applications can be downloaded directly from the virtual town hall area. Leisure activities can also be easily planned as the app displays excursion destinations with opening times and contact details. The offer is supplemented by information on gastronomy, retail, craftsmen and tourist information. For churchgoers there is an overview of all church and trade fair dates, and athletes can view the current winter sports report.

The content is maintained directly by the community, which ensures that it is up to date and reliable. At the same time, the app connects the entire Alpsee-Grünten region and presents cross-thematic offers. Mayor Christian Wilhelm emphasizes: “The new app makes communication between the community and its citizens faster and more efficient – ​​a real everyday helper.”
